PLEASE, BRIEFLY INTRODUCE YOURSELF, HALSTON DARE IN YOUR OWN WORDS? Hi! My names Halston Dare, I am Houston native, singer-songwriter, basketball and football loving, fried chicken tender connoisseur. I am about to turn 21 in September and and I am so excited. On another note, you can expect to hear my new single Replace You, April 24th and music video coming out soon. WHEN DID YOU FIRST BEGIN TO CREATE MUSIC? I started writing poetry around age 9/10 and turned it into musical songwriting when I turned 11. I became the writer I am today in the past year thanks to my influences like Julia Michaels. WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR WHILE COMPOSING YOUR MUSIC? When It comes to creating a song, I try to listen to my heart and mind most on how I am feeling, what stressors, or drama, or what stories I’m needing to tell that day. It’s truly beautiful getting to be so connected with myself and my feelings especially with my producers like Nash and Michelle.
TELL US BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW SONG “REPLACE YOU”? Replace You makes you feel like a badass and that you run the world. It’s best to listen to after a break up or when someone is selling you short. The song tells a story about a person realizing their worth when the world or whoever else can’t see it. Its’ a badass song!

I have been inspired by so many other artists and writers in this world including my dad. All the way from Whitney Houston, Patti Label, Motley Crue, Bryan Adams, Julia Michaels, The Weeknd, Halsey, Lennon Stella and so many more. HOW IMPORTANT IS PERSONAL BRANDING? I never understand how important branding was until I met my wonderful team at Dead Horse Branding. There’s so much that goes into every detail I had no clue about, and I am very thankful for them.
