About Halston Dare
Born in Houston, Texas of Cuban America heritage
Her singing was influenced by her father who grew up singing and touring the US with a barbershop quartet group.
As a child, she grew up listening to classic 70s, 80s and 90s music from the likes of Patti Labelle, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Donna Summer and Whitney Houston
Began writing poetry at age 11 and songwriting at age 13
